And I saw it. All of it (well, except for the 30 seconds I spend in the bathroom half way through it -- and let me say, there is no good place to take a bathroom break during this movie).
There were trekies there. And really creepie trekies there (you know the kind: older, over-weight trekies donning outfits that belong on people 40-80 lbs lighter than they are). But it was cool.
The movie was great. If you love Star Trek, you will like the movie. If you like Star Trek, you will like the movie. If you don't like Star Trek, then I don't know why I'm even talking to you. Just see the movie.
I saw it at The Alamo Draft House -- you know, the only movie house I know where you can get real food and alcohol in the theater. Ok, so we had a few pints (4) before the movie, what of it? Just because you can't go there doesn't mean you can't see this movie. I liked it and will most likely see it again before it's out of theaters. Will I buy the DVD? Hell yeah! And in BlueRay too.

I so want to see this film! If ever I needed a bit of escapism it's now and this is just the ticket. I've been looking forward to it since I first heard it was being made!
Hello Nepheria, its been a long time... hope you are well! I have missed reading your wonderful writing...
NandeHi Jedi Temple Governess....
I really enjoyed Star Trek - and I was never a fan of the original. This one seems like a nice compromise between the serious nature of the original, and the fun-loving nature of the gen Y. I think most people will find something to enjoy in the movie.
Seen it. Loved it. Went back again. Loved it again :)
Will be definately buying the DVD of this. It'll become my rainy saturday movie.
Beer and a Movie!!!!!
Now why don't we have that in Oz. Oh yeah cause they'd tear the place down when they saw wolverine. Or similar crap movies.
Also I blogged again....
